Other Information: The City, and the Oak Ridge National Recycling Center have developed a program to collect used and unwanted computer equipment from city and county residents. Area residents can drop off a maximum of two obsolete computers (or computer game systems) and peripheral equipment for free at the City’s Solid Waste Management Facility’s Household Hazardous Waste Center on W. Baxter and Elm. The computers will be processed and stored for proper disposal. Once the computers are delivered to the Oak Ridge National Recycling Center, they will either be refurbished as reused computers or broken down into various components to be recycled into new products.
